Host a donation drive
Hosting a donation drive with us is a fantastic and fun way to get your people, school, business or community group to make a positive contribution to a more sustainable and socially empowering world.
By donating quality items to Good Sammy, you help us employ and train people with disability and save items from landfill, fuelling the circular economy.
We can provide support to groups wanting to host a charity clothing drive, including promotional resources, advice, and can even organise trucks for large donations.
How do I start a donation drive?
First off, register your Donation Drive so we can provide the support to get you started. When you register your drive, you’ll get access to our free Donation Drive Toolkit, which is full of helpful information.
Next:
- Get your friends, family or colleagues together to help you plan the event and make it a success.
- Choose a date and location for the items to be donated. We recommend choosing a date that celebrates sustainability, such as Earth Day (April 22) or World Environment Day (June 5).
- Promote your donation drive – get creative and go big! Use all the means at your disposal – flyers, social media, emails, door knocking on your street, or talking to locals and businesses. Stuck for how to get the word out? Good Sammy can help you with this!
- Say thank you to donors and pass on information about how much was donated.
