Good Sammy awarded $40,000 training grant to boost disability employment

Good Sammy employees are set to benefit from $40,000 worth of professional development thanks to the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) WA’s Community Training Grant.

The grant will provide access to a suite of AIM WA courses designed to enhance skills in work health and safety, frontline management, productivity, mentoring, finance, computer literacy, and more.

Good Sammy CEO Kane Blackman said the partnership with AIM WA is a significant step forward in building organisational capacity and supporting the charity’s purpose of disability employment.

“Training and capacity building is a key foundation of any organisation. Good Sammy continues to build a culture of belonging, learning, contribution and innovation,” Mr Blackman said.

“Investing in all our people is central to our vision. This partnership plays a vital role in helping both our leaders and supported staff develop the skills needed to ensure people with disability have access to the same professional opportunities as others.”

AIM WA CEO Professor Gary Martin said the Community Training Grants are designed to support the impactful work of not-for-profit organisations.

“AIM WA is proud to recognise the impactful work of Good Sammy by awarding a Community Training Grant in support of their learning and development needs,” Professor Martin said. “We are honoured to play a role in their mission to build a more inclusive and opportunity-rich Western Australia.”
