Good Sammy Appoints New Board Member

Good Sammy Enterprises is pleased to announce the appointment of new Board Director, Sarah Jarman.

Ms Jarman brings specialist professional skills to the Board and over two decades’ experience in the disability and community services sector.

Currently, Ms Jarman is a Manager at Community Legal WA, and her career has had far-reaching professional experience with the National Disability Service WA, WA Primary Health Alliance and Richmond Wellbeing to name only a few of the most recent positions held.

She also brings strong Government experience working with the Department of Communities and the Department of Premier and Cabinet. Her work with the former Disability Services Commission to pilot a public sector disability employment program has direct relevance to Good Sammy’s mission to provide employment and pathways for people with disability.

Ms Jarman has extensive academic qualifications having completed a Masters in Human Rights, a Bachelor of Social Work (Hon) and a Bachelor of Arts.

Her previous Board roles include the Disability Services Commission and the Roberta Jull Community Centre.

Board Chairman Trent Bartlett said Sarah possesses a valuable mix of professional and sector experience which will be beneficial for Good Sammy.

“We are excited to have Sarah join us. Her experiences will provide robust and authentic insights for our team and help us to create employment opportunities for more people with disability,” Mr Bartlett said.

Reflecting on her appointment, Ms Jarman said, “I feel very honoured to join the strong Good Sammy’s team and look forward to the challenges together to enhance the lives of people with disability”.
