Warm Clothes Needed: Host a Donation Drive with us
As the cold weather lingers across Western Australia, demand for warm, good quality pre-loved clothing is still high in our stores. To help meet that need, Good Sammy has launched a Clothing Donation Drive campaign and we are calling on workplaces, schools, sports clubs and community groups to get involved. Your drive will directly support Good Sammy stores across WA and help us continue our important work to create employment and training opportunities for locals with disability.
Why it matters
We’ve seen warm clothing like coats, jackets and jumpers fly off our racks this season, and demand for quality pre-loved cold weather items continues across our stores. These essentials are not always easy to come by secondhand, and the need for them will continue well into August and beyond.
Every donation helps stock our op shops with the items our local communities are looking for, while also supporting hands-on work and training for people with disability in retail, logistics and administration.
How you can take part
We have made it easy to get involved. Our free donation drive toolkit includes:
- Posters and flyers to help spread the word
- A step-by-step guide to planning your drive
- Social media and newsletter content you can copy and paste
Whether you are organising a collection at your office, running a drive through your school, rallying your local club, or getting your friends together, we will support you every step of the way.
What to donate
We are especially looking for clean, good quality winter clothing such as:
- Coats and jackets
- Jumpers and knitwear
- Long sleeve tops and trousers
- Closed toe shoes and boots
Please avoid donating items that are stained, damaged or not suitable for resale.
