Donate your quality preloved electronics to Good Sammy. Your donation helps reduce landfill, makes technology more affordable, and supports training and jobs for people with disability.
What we can accept
You can donate most small electronics, including:
✓ Computers (desktops, laptops, tablets)
✓ Keyboards, mice, and accessories
✓ TVs (varies by store)
✓ Video game consoles
✓ Mobile phones and chargers
✓ Small appliances (toasters, kettles, coffee makers)
✓ Cables, chargers, and power adapters
✓ Some stores also accept large whitegoods (fridges and freezers)
✅ Tip: Always check with your local store if you’re unsure.
What we cannot accept
For safety and environmental reasons, we can’t take:
✗ Large directly connected appliances (ovens, air conditioning units, light fittings)
✗ Broken or badly damaged items
✗ Hazardous items (loose batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, fire sensors)
✗ Medical equipment or anything with biohazards
✗ Old electrical items without insulated plugs
How to prepare your donation
✓ Erase data – Factory reset phones, tablets, and computers.
✓ Bundle accessories – Keep cords and parts together for easy processing.
✓ Check if it works – If it does, label as “Working.” If not, please take it to your council’s e-waste drop-off.
Where to donate
✓ Use our Store Locator to find your nearest Good Sammy.
✓ Check with your local store before donating large items such as TVs or appliances.
✓ Once ready, simply drop your items at the store.
What happens next
- Safe items are tested and sold in our stores at affordable prices.
- Non-working items are recycled through our trusted recycling partners.
- Funds raised support training and jobs for people with disability.
