Saturday 18 October 2025 marks the very first World Op Shop Day, an Australian initiative that’s set to put the spotlight on the world of thrifting, sustainability, and pre-loved shopping.

At Good Sammy, we’re celebrating in true op shop style with 20% off storewide. Exclusions apply to Gold Seal and new goods, and the offer is not available at our Factory Outlet.

Why World Op Shop Day matters

Secondhand shopping has a long and proud history in Australia, but 2025 is special because it marks 100 years since Australians first coined the term “op shop”.

World Op Shop Day celebrates that uniquely Australian tradition, one built on community, creativity and care for people and the planet. It’s a reminder that every pre-loved purchase does good.
