$85,000 raised for disability employment

Good Sammy staff and volunteers at the Camco Engineering Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner

Good Sammy is thrilled to announce the City of Canning’s Camco Engineering Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner has raised over $85,000 to support employment outcomes for people with disability.

Funds raised from the dinner will be used by Good Sammy to introduce traineeships for high-school students with disability at local Canning schools, including Leeming Senior High School Education Support Centre, Castlereagh School and Cannington Education Support Centre. Traineeships will be available in a range of industries including retail, hospitality, business administration and supply chain operations.

Funds will also be used to support a 12 month on-demand donation collection service for Canning locals, delivered in partnership with Good Sammy, to help residents divert items from landfill.
