As temperatures drop in Perth, it’s time to bust out the fluffy slippers and flannel PJs and sleep with the doona pulled up. It’s also time to take stock of what’s in our wardrobe to see if we’ve got enough warm clothes to take us through the cooler months.
Although WA autumns and winters are mild compared to other parts of the world, those flimsy dresses and sandals just won’t cut it when the chill sets in. So, if your winter wardrobe is looking a little bare, forget the must-have lists by fashion bloggers spruiking the latest designer items. Simply head down to your local Good Sammy and look out for these go-to layering essentials to warm those wardrobe gaps.
1. Knitwear
No winter wardrobe is complete without cosy knitwear. It can be paired with anything from jeans to miniskirts to dressy pants, and on warmer autumn or winter days, it can be draped across the shoulders or tied around the waist for hands-free carrying that also looks cool. They’re comfortable, they’re easy to clean and they make any outfit look effortlessly cool.
