Good news for all Perth op shoppers – Good Sammy is back in Morley—Woohoo!

Front of Good Sammy Morley

In case you missed it, Good Sammy closed its Morley store last year because the premises just wasn’t cutting it. Good Sammy stores have a standard for accessible and sustainable operations and on top of not meeting those requirements, the old store also got unbearably hot in summer! With the lack of customer parking and inconvenient location added to the woes, it was definitely time for a change.

Good Sammy had always planned to return to Morley. They just needed to find the perfect spot that would work for both their staff and customers. And guess what? They found it in the former Anglicare op shop.

Good Sammy acquired the Anglicare op shops in Morley and Maddington when the organisation closed down all its stores in June.
The new Morley store, located on 129 Russell Street, is a vibrant and cheerful addition to the bustling strip. You can't miss it, thanks to its prominent corner location and eye-catching yellow façade. Inside you'll find an impressive collection of women's, men's, and children's clothing (standard and Gold Seal), along with accessories to add that special touch to any outfit. And that's not all – there are homewares to spruce up your living space, books to lose yourself in, toys for the little ones, and plenty of quirky bric-a-brac.

And don’t worry about breaking the bank– despite being new, the store sticks to the same affordable prices you can always expect from any Good Sammy. They want op shopping to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone. As one happy Perth op shopper put it, “It’s exactly what you’d expect from Sammy’s – nothing overly fancy or crazy prices, just good stock.”

Good Sammy Morley is accessible not only for its prices and convenient location, but also for its tidy and spacious layout. It gets the Goldilocks seal of approval – not too big, not too small, just right! As you strep through those automatic doors, you can tell they've revamped it with the customers in mind. There are racks of clothes thoughtfully arranged by size, neat shelves and clear signage, so you can find what you’re after without any fuss.

The spacious layout gives you the freedom to browse at your own pace, with enough room to move around even if you've got an overloaded trolley. The changerooms are a hit too—lockable with good lighting– perfect for trying on all those fabulous finds and getting a changeroom selfie or two. Oh, and if you've got a full trolley, no worries! There's plenty of room to move around in there.

Inside the Good Sammy Morley store

I scored some real gems during my visit to Good Sammy Morley: gingham Tommy Hilfiger shorts, a knit midi skirt, a chic Sportsgirl wrap dress and the ultimate thrift find– this gorgeous vintage dress from the Gold Seal section. It reminds me of one Carrie wore in a recent episode of And Just Like That. I was chuffed to find it, and more than happy to pay just $15 for it.

Just like every other Good Sammy store, the team at Good Sammy Morley is super friendly and always ready to lend a hand. They're excited to see the joy on your faces as you search for amazing deals and uncover those hidden treasures. There’s no better time than the official opening on Thursday, August 10th. Come on down, explore the racks, chat with the team, and treat yourself to a cuppa and a delicious cupcake.

While you’re there, be sure to check out the gorgeous window display during your visit! It's all in celebration of Keep Australia Beautiful Week and it’s inspired by our beautiful flora and fauna. The best part is that it's been crafted by a talented local upcycling artist, Anne-Marie Wharrie.

So, whether you're a seasoned thrifter or a first-time explorer, make your way to the new Good Sammy Morley store and brighten up your day. Not only will you snag great deals and add some fun finds to your collection, but you'll also contribute to job opportunities for Western Australians living with disability. It's a win-win for everyone!
