Good Sammy was delighted to host some of our highly valued volunteers today at our Canning Vale HQ for a ‘thank you’ morning tea on International Volunteer Day.
International Volunteer Day is a day to celebrate the selfless contributions made by volunteers and raise awareness of volunteering opportunities.
At Good Sammy, our thoughtful and generous volunteers assist in our retail, warehousing, maintenance and marketing operations, as well as in our canteen at our Canning Vale HQ. Our volunteers come from all parts of the community including schools and businesses, as well as benevolently minded individuals who want to make a tangible difference in the lives of people living with disability.
At our ‘thank you’ event today, our volunteers were treated to a delicious morning tea and were joined by guest speaker and Instagram influencer Jessica Hoole (@my.second.hand.life) who shared her top thrifting tips.
Good Sammy Chief Executive Officer Kane Blackman was on hand to personally thank our volunteers and said Good Sammy was grateful for the difference they made to our organisation.
“Good Sammy simply cannot do everything we do to support people with disability without our community of volunteers,” Mr Blackman said.
Good Sammy has many volunteering opportunities available, including for individuals, schools and corporate groups. For more information about volunteering with Good Sammy, please click here or call our Volunteer Coordinator Karen Andrews on 9463 0500.
This event is supported by the Department of Communities. We appreciate their help in thanking our volunteers.
