The Good Sammy team at our Canning Vale head office and recycling facility was delighted to welcome our new Patron, His Excellency the Honourable Chris Dawson AC APM Governor of Western Australia, and Mrs Dawson for a visit and site tour on Thursday 23 February.
Good Sammy Chair Trent Bartlett and Chief Executive Officer Kane Blackman led the tour and introduced the Governor and Mrs Dawson to some of our highly valued employees working in our warehouse, logistics, e-commerce, recycling and hospitality operations.
During the tour, Mr Blackman detailed Good Sammy’s diverse disability employment and training opportunities and business operations at our Canning Vale site and around the state. He also spoke of Good Sammy’s approach to supporting people with disability to achieve their training and employment goals.
Mr Blackman told the Dawsons; "We are strongly focused on our mission to provide job and development opportunities for people with disability. This can occur within Good Sammy or outside it, as we have strong employer partnerships to support people on their journey. It is all about the individual at Good Sammy."
